Our Pastor Dr. Keith B. Cowart, a loving Husband and Father.
Dr. Cowart is married to 1st Lady: Ayango N. Cowart, the Father of Brianna Anise Cowart and God Father of Jala Nikia Robinson.
Dr. Keith B. Cowart was called into the Gospel Ministry and delivered his first sermon & Licensed on March 25, 1990, at the Historic New Zion Baptist Church in New Orleans, under the leadership of Rev. C. S. Gordon, Jr. Dr. Cowart was ordained in October 1991 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bogalusa, LA. pastored by the late Dr. Atwood J. Luter, after being called to his first pastorate at the Jerusalem Baptist Church 1992 where he served for 7 years.
Dr. Cowart Graduated from Southern University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. Asbury Theological Seminary with a Master of Theology in 1996, Doctor of Ministry Degree in 2000, Christian Bible College in 2002 with a Doctor of Theology Degree, University of Phoenix in 2005 with an M.B.A. in Business Administration. Pastor Cowart has had the privilege of servicing as:
- Recording Secretary, Amite River Baptist Association
- President of the Sunday- School Congress, Amite River Association
- Foreign Mission Board Member, National Baptist Convention
- Vice President of the Late-Night Committee, Louisiana Baptist State Convention
- Teacher -Congress of Christian Education – 4th District Association
- Board Member – L.M. Lockhart Center
- Financial Committee Member, B.M&E State Convention
- Dr. Cowart received teacher certification through the Sunday School Publishing Board Education Department in 2006.
On January 3, 2021, God choose an Annointed, POWERFUL, FAITHFUL, and the HUMBLEST SERVANT AS OUR PASTOR: DR. KEITH B. COWART.
Dr. Cowart is author of two books entitled”, “REACH” and “Back to Basics” and founder of KBC Ministries (www.kbcministries.com)
Dr. Cowart presently serves as:
- Second Vice President – First District Evangelical Board
- Professor – Union Theological Seminary and College.
- Crime Prevention Ministerial Chairman – Bogalusa, Louisiana
Pastor Cowart Blessed to have his voice heard preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in churches, conventions, conferences, & revivals across the United States. It is Pastor Cowart’s heart desire to “Preach Christ and Him Crucified”
